The study of the reaction mechanisms in Main Group, Coordination, Supramolecular, Bioinorganic, and Organometallic Chemistry is a firmly established field in Inorganic Chemistry. Recent advances in kinetic instrumentation and experimental procedures for the study of reaction intermediates, as well as the development of  powerful computational procedures, facilitate a more comprehensive understanding of the intimate details of the different types of reactions.

   Every year the Inorganic Reaction Mechanisms Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry, in cooperation with a European University, organizes a Meeting dedicated to studies on the mechanistic aspects of reactions in Inorganic Chemistry. The 37^th IRMGM will be held in Barcelona from the 9^th to the 12^th of January 2008 and is presented as a forum for the discussion of recent results in the field. A useful meeting point for people willing to find partners for complementary collaborative work will so beprovided, and the currently active subjects in the field will be discussed.
