The study of the reaction
mechanisms in Main Group, Coordination, Supramolecular, Bioinorganic, and
Organometallic Chemistry is a firmly established field in Inorganic
Chemistry. Recent advances in kinetic instrumentation and experimental
procedures for the study of reaction intermediates, as well as the
development of powerful computational procedures, facilitate a more
comprehensive understanding of the intimate details of the different types
of reactions.
Every year the Inorganic Reaction Mechanisms Group of
the Royal Society of Chemistry, in cooperation with a European University,
organizes a Meeting dedicated to studies on the mechanistic aspects of
reactions in Inorganic Chemistry. The 37th IRMGM will be held
in Barcelona from the 9th to the 12th of January
2008 and is presented as a forum for the discussion of recent results in
the field. A useful meeting point for people willing to find partners for
complementary collaborative work will so beprovided, and the currently
active subjects in the field will be discussed. |
