De Médan a Algeciras: Dicenta, un hilo conductor

The theories of Naturalism spread throughout Europe after finding consolidation in Les Soirées de Médan. In Spain, a journal edited by Dicenta and named Germinal began to be published following this line of social criticism. When Germinal disappeared, this idea was continued by La Opinión, a weekly review published in Algeciras, to which Dicenta himself contributed.


La creación del Seminario conciliar de San Bartolomé de Cádiz

This piece of work studies how the Seminario Conciliar de San Bartolomé (Saint Barholomew's Council Seminary) was founded in Cádiz following the model proposed by the reform of the Council of Trento. The aim of this institution was to provide the dioceses with a training centre fo their future priests. The bishop Antonio Zapata, enjoying the support of King Felipe II, managed to combine the wills of the cannons and the diocesan clergy in order to obtain the necessary economical means to support -during the first stage- twenty students and all the superiors required to run the institution and to educate and teach their future priests. In 1589 the students were examined and admitted to the institution and the head and administrator was appointed. They purchased a house in San Juan street where in 1591 the activities of the Seminary started aimed at providing the institution with a Constitution and Regulations. Therefore, the managed to consolidate an educational institution in Cádiz which would persist for four hundred years.

The present article introduces a study of the local architecture of El Puerto de Santa María in 1833-1868. The first section of this article is an introduction to the historical and urban aspects of this period which are relevant to industrial and local architecture. This article aso analyses the different artistic styles developed in El Puerto during this period.


Notas sobre dificultades que pueden plantear las investigaciones genealógicas

Here i intend to warn novice researchers against the difficulties they may find int their studies and analyses, where they risk losing sight, mixing up or ignoring the genealogical lines derived or branched out from the same stock; that's something that occurs very often. And so was the case in a booklet written about the Toledo House by the Count de la Ventosa. And the same has occurred to many other Houses.


La Residencia Normalista de Cádiz. Comienzos: 1923-1926

This piece of work presents the history of the Residencia Normalista of the Teacher Training School of Cádiz during the first three academic years (1923-1926). It includes the legal dispositions and historical circumstances which enabled its creation and subsequent running regulations. We have carried out an analysis of organization and internal functioning of the school, members of staff (teachers and students), cultural activities and funds. The results of this analysis confirm the "success" of this peculiar institution.


El asesoramiento como investigación. Acción de segundo orden: una ejemplificación

This piece of work studies the different ways in which we can carry out an analysis of a relationship of consultation through an action/research of a secondary type. We believe this relationship should be practical or critical as well as systematical, and should be approached as a means of cooperation and simplification, always following an organizative model of consultation. In the second section of this study we have depicted a specific example of the initial steps of design and development of an action/research which analyses a relationship of consultation between and advisor and a teacher.

Madurez para la lectura: una reinterpretación de los principales factores asociados al aprendizaje inicial de la lectura

During the last decades has become a customary practice the use of the designated "reding readiness tests" as middle for the identification of those pupils that accede to the obligatory teaching with an issuficient level in the development of certains neuropsychological functions that are supposed uncerlying to the learning of reading: also, it has become frequent to delay the initiation of such pupils in the learning of reading during several months, in order to make them follow training programs routed to achieve a certain minimal level in such lacking functions. However, the authors support the need of checlaing seriously such practical after an theoretical reinterpretation of the data obtained from the "reading readiness test" BADIMALE.

The present article deals with a work of investigation carried outby a group of students of the Teacher Training School specialised in preschool education. This piece of work was carried out within the framework of an interdisciplinary methodological proposal of two subjects included in theri curriculum. The contents of this paper analyses the results of the study of this group on the development of numerical thinking in young children and its possible treatment in the classroom through the elaboration of an educational program.


Importancia en los Paevs de una etapa. Algunas indicaciones para su tratamiento en el aula

This piece of work can be divided into two sections. The first section analyses the basic oral arithmetic problems from an educational point of view, the teaching of Mathematics and the educational/scientific investigation. The second section deals with smo of the relevant implications of the teaching-learningn processes: the connection between contexts and original ideas of the child, the specificity of the reading comprehension processes, the use of support and specificity in these processes, the composition directe towards the facilitation of the data processing, the size of the numbers, the treatment of the numerical equation and the order of data appearance.
